Job summary

East Sussex College Group is recruiting for a front-line Reception role at the Eastbourne campus. You will deliver a professional enquiry service to adult learners and visitors, sharing information about courses and support services. Role requires handling in-person, email, and phone inquiries with a strong customer-service approach.

Hours are 9 per week across 38 weeks (term-time). Salary is £24,500 FTE, pro-rated for hours and weeks worked.

  • Experience in a high-volume customer service role with commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Strong administrative and digital skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and welcoming enquiry service to adult learners and college visitors.
  • Inform prospective and existing students about the range of provision and wider support services.
  • Deal with enquiries in-person, by email, and by telephone.
  • Support college events for new applicants.

This exciting role will include:

  • Providing a professional and welcoming enquiry service to our adult learners and college visitors.
  • Providing information to prospective and existing students about the range of provision and wider support services at the College.
  • Dealing with enquiries in-person, by email, and telephone.
  • Supporting college events for new applicants.

College location: Based at our Eastbourne Campus
Annual salary: £24,500 FTE – Will be pro-rated for hours worked and weeks
For example, if start date is 1st September actual salary £5,060
Hours: 9 hours per week, 38 weeks per year Term time only


Tuesdays 4.30-7.30pm & Thursdays 1.30-7.30pm
