Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Manchester Piccadilly Station is seeking a Late Shift Supervisor to oversee a key rail operation, ensuring trains are serviced safely, efficiently and on schedule. You will lead a small team, coordinate daily activities and help maintain a high standard of service within a busy transport environment.

This permanent, full-time role offers a 14:00–23:00 shift and a 5-in-7 pattern including weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising or coordinating teams in logistics, transport or warehouse environments.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to organise workloads, monitor progress and maintain records.
• Comfortable working in a changing environment and responding to priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervising night shift activities, allocating work and supporting colleagues to complete tasks safely and on time.
• Overseeing train unloading and re-loading activities, including waste removal and replenishment of onboard catering products.
• Maintaining operational records and liaising with Avanti and DHL drivers to support train departures.
• Holding team briefings and promoting safe working practices.
