Thorlabs in the United Kingdom is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to join our production team. This hands-on role focuses on producing high-tolerance components and operating a range of precision machinery.

You will work Monday-Thursday 6am to 2:30pm and Fridays 6am to 1pm, with training and opportunities to improve product quality and output. The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and adherence to our quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment and hands-on role.
• High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain focus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good level of mechanical aptitude and practical skill.

Responsibilities

• Work within an allocated team to achieve scheduled manufacturing targets.
• Train and develop to set and operate a wide range of precision industrial machinery.
• Maintain high levels of attention to detail, recording and communicating accurate measurements.
• Communicate product status via the production control system and paperwork.
• Participate in cross-training to increase knowledge of the Tables Business Unit.
• Support and drive problem solving and quality/performance improvement.
