Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Domestic Assistant (Band 2) to join the Estates & Facilities Domestic Team at Glenfield Hospital. The role is part-time (20 hours/week) with Monday–Friday, 18:00–22:00 shifts.

You will contribute to a clean and safe environment for patients and staff, upholding infection control standards and confidentiality. In-house training will be provided, and applicants should have a good command of English.

Qualifications

• Experience in a confidential/hospital environment or similar role.
• Good standard of English language (written and spoken).
• Willingness to work 18:00–22:00, Monday to Friday, with flexibility as service needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks in designated patient and non-patient areas.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
• Observe confidentiality of patients and Trust information at all times.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, managers and clinical teams.
• Work flexibly as part of the Domestic Team and with others to provide a high-quality service.
