Job summary

Heron Foods is seeking a Warehouse Office Administrator at the Melton Distribution Centre (near Hull) to help ensure timely deliveries and accurate order processing. You will coordinate shop orders, issue loading notes, and support vehicle issues while maintaining smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Strong IT and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience in administration or logistics is helpful but not essential.
• Confident communicator with excellent organisation.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence is required due to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Order coordination - manage shop orders, dispatch orders and maintain queue.
• Despatch administration - issue loading tickets, create dispatch notes and allocate trucks/trailers.
• Logistics problem-solving - reroute deliveries and support vehicle issues to keep operations moving.
• Store communication - update stores on delivery schedules and resolve queries.
• Operational support - assist loading and picking teams to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
