Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is partnering with a global testing company to recruit two LC/MS and GC/MS Laboratory Analysts for their Bedford UKAS facility. The role is permanent and evenings only, with hours 14:00–22:00, Monday to Friday.

You will perform LC/MS analysis with single and triple quadrupole MS, handle sample preparation (LLE, SPE, QuEChERS), analyse data, and report results to stakeholders. A degree in a relevant science or equivalent UKAS-lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent in a scientific field with lab experience.
• Experience using LC-MS instruments in an accredited setting.
• Ability to develop and optimize LC-MS methods.
• Strong data handling and clear reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate single and triple quadrupole LC-MS instrumentation as part of daily workflow.
• Perform sample preparation techniques (LLE, SPE, QuEChERS) for trace analysis.
• Process chromatographic data and generate accurate reports for stakeholders.
• Develop and optimise analytical methods for priority compounds.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary lab teams to meet targets and timelines.
