Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a housekeeper role to work in our hospitals.
We are interested in hearing from individuals who are willing to work hard within a strong, friendly team. They will be required to provide a KEY service within the hospital for both staff and patients. The post holders will be responsible for ensuring that the environment is of a high standard and meets the needs of patients and visitors.
The main focus of the post holder is to facilitate the maintenance of a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients. They will work with the ward-based team to ensure patient safety, privacy, dignity, and courtesy in accordance with Trust values.
This is a challenging but rewarding job and would be ideally suited to motivated team players. Housekeeping experience within healthcare and knowledge of COSHH, BICs, colour coding, and infection control is desirable, though not essential, as full training will be given.
The housekeeping team at Heatherwood hospital is part of the hotel services department and the Estates and Facilities directorate. The team is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in all hospital areas. Housekeepers are valued support members helping to ensure that wards are pleasant for patients and staff.
