Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Class 1 HGV Driver in Burton upon Trent. The role involves trunking runs from the brewery to multiple sites, dropping and swapping trailers, and occasional EPT tipping. Shifts are Sunday to Thursday, with start times between 20:00 and 23:00.

Applicants should hold a Class 1 licence (C+E), Driver CPC, and a tachograph card, with ideally 12 months’ experience. A reliable, time‑conscious, independent worker is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Ideally 12 months recent driving experience.
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Completing trunking runs from the brewery to various sites such as RDCs, cash & carries, and warehouse feeds for dray operations.
• Performing drop and swap trailer movements and occasional electric pallet truck (EPT) tipping where necessary.
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Complying with health and safety standards at all times, adhering to The Highway Code and vehicle regulations.
• Regular completion of vehicle checks.
