Job summary

Eurofins Scientific in Grimsby is recruiting for a full-time lab technician to complete the food testing stage to required quality standards and assist daily operations. The role runs 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 14:00–22:00, with tasks including sample registration, processing, media preparation, and environmental monitoring.

Applicants should have a degree in science or equivalent, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and customer care.

Responsibilities

• Register food samples in line with quality standard and written methods/procedures.
• Process food samples in line with quality standard and written methods/procedures.
• Prepare media in line with quality standard and written methods/procedures.
• Read and confirm tests in line with quality standard and written methods/procedures.
• Perform media QC, IQC and environmental monitoring.
• Ensure records and samples are handled correctly and quality data is maintained.
• Adhere to UK health and safety legislation and keep the working environment clean and tidy.
• Assist team through continuous improvement.
• Comply with Laboratory Quality Manual and UKAS accreditation requirements.
• Provide high level of internal and external customer care.
• Read and comply with company rules and notices.
• Any other reasonable tasks as delegated by the line manager.
