Job summary

Eurofins Grimsby is seeking a part-time laboratory technician to support food testing to the required quality standards and internal procedures. Full training is provided to help you perform registrations, sample processing, media preparation and reading/confirmation tests.

Working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 17:00–22:00 (flexibility 16:00–21:00 when required), you will help maintain documentation, quality data and safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement within the lab.

Qualifications

• Degree in science desirable; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out registration of food samples in line with the quality standard and written methods.
• Process food samples in line with the quality standard and written methods.
• Prepare media in line with the quality standard and written methods.
• Carry out reading/confirmation tests in line with the quality standard and written methods.
• Perform media QC, IQC and environmental monitoring.
• Record information concerning samples and ensure correct handling and quality data.
• Support UK health and safety compliance and keep the working area tidy.
• Assist through continuous improvement and comply with the Laboratory Quality Manual.
• Provide high level internal and external customer care.
• Follow company rules and undertake other reasonable tasks as delegated.
