Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Mobile FM Assistant (Cleaning) for its Estates & Facilities Management Team, covering clinics across West Essex. The role involves routine domestic cleaning to schedule, with some flexibility, and occasional food service support.

You will travel between sites by car and work weekday evenings from 5pm to 8pm. Applicants should have similar cleaning experience, a valid driving licence, access to a car, and the right to work in the UK.

Qualifikationen

• Similar previous experience in cleaning, preferably in healthcare settings.
• Understanding of cleanliness and good hygiene practices.

Aufgaben

• Clean assigned wards and areas according to the schedule, including floors, surfaces, toilets, kitchens and bins.
• Use colour-coded equipment and follow hygiene practices to prevent cross infection.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely as trained, and report faults or quality issues.
• Store equipment securely and report security threats.
• Dispose of general, recyclable and clinical waste correctly and report segregation errors.
• Review work schedules with the supervisor and report problems.
• Regenerate cook-chill meals, record temperatures, prepare soups and plates for patients.
• Serve and clear patients’ meals and clean crockery and cutlery.
• Wash, dry and finish patients’ clothing, linen and curtains; keep laundry area clean.
• Deliver pharmacy boxes, medical records, linen, stores and meal trolleys; collect dirty linen and waste.
• Carry out ad-hoc tasks such as medical gases, specimens, furniture moves and meeting room setup.
• Keep site clear of litter, empty bins, grit and assist with snow clearance and fire calls.
