Job summary

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Facilities Assistant for 3 x 15 hour shifts, 4pm–7pm, Monday to Friday at the Valentine Centre. You will deliver cleaning, portering and catering services with a focus on patient care.

You will support infection control, COSHH and health and safety rules while contributing to a positive, flexible working environment within the Estates and Facilities Directorate.

Qualifications

• General education to GCSE level or equivalent including English and Maths.
• Willingness to achieve NVQ Level 2 in customer services.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instruction.
• Experience with cleaning materials and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive cleaning service for in-patient and community sites as assigned.
• Carry out catering duties including preparation and regeneration of patient meals.
• Ensure infection control, COSHH and health and safety procedures are followed.
• Dispose of waste safely and maintain cleaning schedules daily.
