Job summary

Unique Home Care NI LTD is seeking a Domiciliary Care Assistant for the South Belfast Bed Run, 6pm–11pm, with 3 shifts per week. You will work in clients' homes, delivering personal care, housekeeping support and medication prompts, while building trusting relationships with clients and families.

The role requires a full driving licence, ability to work independently, and NISCC registration or willingness to apply on appointment. Weekend work pattern is included with weekend on/off rotation.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence and use of a car for work.
• Willingness to carry out personal care and daily living tasks within the allocated timeframe.
• Ability to manage own time.
• Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative.
• NISCC registration or willingness to apply on appointment.

Responsibilities

• Improve quality of life with tasks such as housekeeping and shopping.
• Deliver personal care.
• Administer medication.
• Monitor safety and wellbeing of the person.
• Build positive relationships with the person and their families.
• Use personal care plans to deliver a person-centred service.
• Be responsible for adult support and protection.
• Monitor care needs and report changes for the care plan.
• Maintain good quality records and notes.
• Ensure equipment is used effectively.
• Work in partnership with colleagues within the organisation.
