Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Health Care Support Worker to join the Out of Hours District Nursing team in Wigan. The role is part-time, 15 hours weekly over three evening shifts (18:00–23:00).

You will travel to patients’ homes and must hold a NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or NHS Care Certificate. Applicants should have driving licence for business use and be able to travel across Ashton, Wigan and Leigh.

Formación

• Experience providing nursing care in a home or clinic setting.
• Able to work within an Out of Hours district nursing team.
• Willingness to travel across the Trust area as required.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or Care Certificate completed.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in delivering Nursing care to patients at home or clinic as delegated.
• Undertake extended role of NVQ level 3 practitioner after Trust training.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other agencies.
• Undertake duties to facilitate smooth operation of the district nursing team.
• Provide health promotion and advice to patients/carers.
• Conduct clinical observations and obtain specimens as indicated.
• Document care accurately per Trust policy.
• Maintain stock control and secure storage of supplies.
