Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd in Loughborough is seeking a skilled CNC Milling Operator for the evening shift. Training on day shift for 6–12 weeks will precede the transition to evenings.

You will produce high-precision components and uphold strict quality standards, with a 13:00 finish every Friday. The role offers a temp-to-perm pathway, comprehensive on-the-job training, and opportunities to progress into CNC setting and programming.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC Milling machines.
• Experience using Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Competent with micrometers, verniers and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Milling machines using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Manufacture components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using micrometers, verniers and gauges.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Follow company procedures and health & safety guidelines.
