Job summary

Optima UK in Loughborough is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Operator for an evening shift, with initial training on days. You will produce high-precision components and progress toward CNC setting and programming roles.

The role starts with a training period of 6-12 weeks, then moves to the evening shift. You will read engineering drawings, measure with precision tools, and uphold strict quality standards in a safe, well-organised environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC Milling machines.
• Experience using Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Competent in the use of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

Location: Loughborough

Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour

Shift: Monday to Thursday: 16:00 - 01:00 and Friday: 13:00 - 19:00

***Training Shift - First 6-12 Weeks: Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00 and Friday: 07:00 - 13:00***

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Milling Operator to join a well-established manufacturing team in Loughborough. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC machinist looking to further develop their skills and progress into CNC setting and programming.

The successful candidate will initially complete training on the day shift for approximately 6-12 weeks before moving onto the evening shift. You will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
