Job summary

St Cedd's School in Chelmsford seeks a Cleaner to join the dedicated cleaning team. You will work 20 hours per week from 15:30 to 20:30, Monday to Friday, for 41.6 weeks per year, ensuring all areas are cleaned to high standards.

The role requires reliability, flexibility and a good work ethic. Safeguarding and promoting welfare of children is essential, along with knowledge of Health and Safety and experience using cleaning machinery and products.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cleaning role; prior cleaning experience desirable.

Job description

St Cedd's School is seeking to appoint a Cleaner to join our dedicated cleaningteam to ensure all areas of the School are cleaned to the high standards we pride ourselves upon., Employees of St Cedd's School have a responsibility for, and must be committed to, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and for ensuring that they are protected from harm. Appointment is subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This is a hands-on cleaning role working alongside the rest of the team, so previous cleaning experience is desirable. The successful candidate will be reliable and flexible, with a good work ethic and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will need to be able to work under pressure, have an eye for detail, take pride in your work and have a 'can do' attitude.

A working knowledge of the Health and Safety measures required and experience of using cleaning machinery and products are essential.

Salary/Benefits: £12.71 per hour
