Job summary

Home Instead Mendip Hills is inviting warm, compassionate Evening Care Assistants to join our brand-new team. You will support clients with end-of-day routines, prepare meals, assist with medication and personal care, and help ensure a calm, comfortable night for clients.

We welcome both experienced care workers and newcomers, emphasising training, progression, and a supportive office team. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable.

We’re growing our brand-new Home Instead Mendip Hills team, and we’re looking for warm, friendly and compassionate Evening Care Assistants to join us!

Whether you’re an experienced Care Assistant looking for a fresh start or new to care and ready to begin a career that truly matters, we’d love to hear from you!

As an Evening Care Assistant with us, you will be there to support clients with their end of day routines. This will include preparing an evening meal, supporting with medication & personal care needs, light home help tasks and ensuring our client's are settled for the night.

• £12.85 per hour during the week
• £13.50 per hour at weekends
• Double pay on bank holidays
• Paid travel time at £12.71 per hour
• Mileage between clients paid at 35p per mile

You don't need to have previous care experience to get started – if you have the right attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you! We need you to be aged 18 or over and have the availability to work an alternate weekend (both Saturday & Sunday). Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is also desired.
