Job summary

Home Instead Mendip Hills is seeking warm, compassionate Evening Care Assistants to support clients in Cheddar, Winscombe, and nearby areas. You will help with evening routines, meals, medication support, and personal care, while building trusted relationships in a friendly team.

No care experience is required if you have the right attitude. Aged 18+, with weekend availability and a driving licence/vehicle is preferred, as this UK-based role involves travel between clients.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and eligible to work in the UK.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
• No care experience required; a genuine desire to help others.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with end of day routines, including preparing an evening meal, assisting with medication and personal care, light household tasks, and ensuring clients are settled for the night.
• Contribute to a friendly, supportive team and build meaningful relationships with clients.

Job Description

We’re growing our brand-new Home Instead Mendip Hills team, and we’re looking for warm, friendly and compassionate Evening Care Assistants to join us!

Whether you’re an experienced Care Assistant looking for a fresh start or new to care and ready to begin a career that truly matters, we’d love to hear from you!

As an Evening Care Assistant with us, you will be there to support clients with their end of day routines. This will include preparing an evening meal, supporting with medication & personal care needs, light home help tasks and ensuring our client's are settled for the night.

As an Evening Care Assistant, we can offer you:

• £12.85 per hour during the week
• £13.50 per hour at weekends
• Double pay on bank holidays
• Paid travel time at £12.71 per hour
• Mileage between clients paid at 35p per mile

You don't need to have previous care experience to get started – if you have the right attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you!

We need you to be aged 18 or over and have the availability to work an alternate weekend (both Saturday & Sunday). Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is also desired.
