Wycombe Abbey seeks a Day Matron to support boarding life, working under the Housemistress and Senior Resident Matron to nurture a warm, safe environment for girls aged 11–17.

The role includes running the House Dispensary, dispensing simple medication, maintaining medical records, overseeing clothes and laundry, and providing pastoral support. Hours are 3.30pm–10.30pm Wed–Sun and 4.00pm–11.00pm Sat, 37.5 hours/week; £14.37/hour (£28,022 FTE).

Qualifications

• Ability to support pupils in a boarding environment.
• Good IT skills for administrative tasks.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with staff and pupils.

Responsibilities

• Ensure House routines are followed and standards of appearance and hygiene are upheld.
• Run the House Dispensary and dispense simple medication; maintain medical records.
• Oversee clothing and laundry and keep the House tidy; provide pastoral support as required.
• Carry out administrative tasks for the Housemistress and support daily House operations.
