Job summary

Harbour Healthcare are seeking an enthusiastic Activities Assistant for Redwell Hills Care Home. The role is 19 hours per week in the early evenings at Redwell Hills Care Home, Harbour Healthcare.

You will bring energy, engagement and compassion to residents, including those living with dementia. You’ll join the Activities Team to create meaningful experiences, support group and 1:1 activities, help organise events, book entertainers, arrange community outings, maintain records and contribute

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people living with dementia.
• Warm, approachable and genuinely care for others.
• Motivate and encourage participation.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Enjoy working as part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Support engaging group and one-to-one activities.
• Help organise themed events and celebrations.
• Book entertainers and external suppliers.
• Assist with community outings (transport & accessibility planning).
• Maintain participation records and review resident needs.
• Contribute ideas to keep the programme fresh and inspiring.
• Support fundraising events and community involvement.
• Attend training and team meetings.
