Job summary

Harbour Healthcare in Westhoughton is seeking an Activities Assistant to support residents with engaging activities. The role is part-time (18 hours per week) with an hourly rate of £12.71, aimed at delivering a high standard of care and comfort.

You will work with the Activities Team to motivate participation, plan events, and coordinate transport or external entertainment as needed. Previous dementia experience and strong communication are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience working with residents living with dementia.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organising and coordinating activities tailored to residents' needs and group activities.
• Book external entertainers and organise local trips.
• Maintain records of resident participation and help plan a stimulating activity programme.
