Job summary

PUBLIC is a digital transformation partner focused on making public services more efficient through evidence-based evaluation and policy analysis. As an Evaluations Associate, you will design and deliver evaluations that assess economic value, effectiveness and impact of policy and technology programs in the public sector.

You will work with Senior Associates and project leads, combining economic thinking with quantitative and qualitative research.

Qualifications

• Strong quantitative modelling skills with clear documentation.
• Applied economic thinking to policy and technology questions.
• Ability to gather, assess and synthesize information from multiple sources.
• Comfort with data analysis and reporting for external audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in professional contexts.
• Meticulous approach to calculations, data handling and writing.

Responsibilities

• Support costs, benefits and wider economic implications assessments.
• Conduct desk, literature and market research to understand context.
• Contribute to cost-benefit analysis and economic appraisal activities.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluation frameworks and data collection.
• Develop benefit models translating policy changes into value.
• Work with datasets to identify patterns and draw conclusions.
• Translate findings into structured reports and presentations.
• Collaborate to plan workstreams and manage priorities.
• Support client meetings, workshops and proposals.
• Build expertise in economic evaluation and public policy.
