Arnold Clark is recruiting a skilled mechanic at Edinburgh Seafield Kia/BYD to service, repair and maintain vehicles, with access to EV accredited training and a focus on quality and safety. Qualifications

• A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid work experience in the automotive industry.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a busy team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet high standards and deadlines.
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach, with ability to follow instructions.
• Hold a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues using diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace broken parts as needed.
• Carry out DVSA vehicle testing if authorised.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Maintain equipment and keep tools in good condition.
• Follow checklists to ensure all procedures are completed.
• Complete all documentation to the required standard.
