Job summary

Electra Commercial Vehicles Ltd is seeking a Production Engineer to develop, implement and improve manufacturing processes for its electric commercial vehicles. You will work with Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement and Supply Chain to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

The role emphasizes solving practical manufacturing problems, supporting prototype through early-series builds and contributing to continuous improvement across the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification or equivalent practical engineering experience.
• Experience in production/manufacturing environments, preferably automotive or EV.
• Strong problem solving and hands-on engineering capability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise manufacturing processes for vehicle production.
• Translate designs and BOMs into practical manufacturing steps.
• Create assembly processes, work instructions and standards.
• Define tooling, fixtures, equipment and requirements.
• Ensure processes meet quality standards and reflect latest specifications.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce cost.
• Support introduction of new variants and engineering changes.
• Provide day-to-day production support and root-cause analysis.
• Assist with process documentation, SOPs and control plans.
• Contribute to lean, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support NPI, prototype builds and production validation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement and Supply Chain.
