Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a qualified Vehicle Technician for a major UK automotive group based in Bristol. The role requires Level 3 qualified technicians or Level 2 with at least 3 years’ experience. The position offers a strong basic salary, overtime, and bonus opportunities.

You will service, diagnose, and repair a wide range of vehicles, with training in EV/hybrid tech and HV systems. The role includes weekends on a rota and an attractive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience with servicing and repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Ability to diagnose faults across braking, steering, suspension and engines.
• Experience performing electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs).

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, oil/filter changes, and part updates as per manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and repair faults in braking, steering, suspension and engine systems.
• Perform eVHCs and document findings.
• Record findings and parts requirements on digital job cards.
• Complete warranty repairs following factory protocols and timelines.
• Maintain high workshop productivity and first-time fix targets.
