Job summary

Hunter Savage is recruiting an Electrician / EV Field Service Engineer to support a brand-new EV charging service division covering NI and ROI. The role involves maintenance, fault diagnosis, testing, and commissioning of EV chargers at commercial and industrial sites, with a chance to shape the service operation from the ground up.

Qualifications

• Valid electrical registration (Safe Electric) or QQI Level 6+ (City & Guilds).
• 2+ years in electrical maintenance, installation, commissioning, or field service.
• Able to read single-line diagrams and use test instruments.
• Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel; EV charging experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, testing, component replacement, and repair across EV charging equipment and related electrical systems.
• Perform electrical testing, insulation resistance, continuity, and safe isolation procedures.
• Investigate and troubleshoot electrical and control faults using diagnostic tools and service documentation.
• Support commissioning of new installations, including inspection, testing, and handover.
