Envevo Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Field Service Engineer to commission, maintain, troubleshoot and repair EV charging infrastructure across Northern Ireland and Ireland. You’ll work independently on customer sites, resolving faults and ensuring safe operation of AC, DC rapid, and HPC chargers.

Qualifications

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical. Evidence of field electrical work experience.
• Ability to fault-find and resolve electrical, mechanical and software-related issues.
• Experience on customer sites and strong communication with clients.

Responsibilities

• Commission, configure and test AC, Rapid DC, Ultra and HPC charging stations.
• Perform planned maintenance and fault-finding activities on EV chargers.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and software faults on site at customer locations.
• Update firmware, calibrate and optimize system performance.
• Replace faulty components following manufacturer guidelines.
• Provide on-site technical support and guidance to customers.

Join a growing team at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution.

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Field Service Engineer to play a key role in keeping Ireland's EV charging network running safely and efficiently. Working across Northern Ireland and Ireland, you'll commission, maintain, troubleshoot and repair a wide range of EV charging infrastructure, from AC chargers to Ultra Rapid and High-Power Charging (HPC) systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer who enjoys variety, solving technical challenges, and working independently in the field. You'll be supported by a dedicated operations team while gaining hands-on experience with some of the most advanced EV technology in the industry.

What You'll Be Doing

• Commissioning, configuring and testing AC, Rapid DC, Ultra and HPC charging stations.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and fault-finding activities.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical and software-related issues.
• Performing firmware updates, calibration and system optimisation.
• Replacing faulty components and carrying out repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Providing technical support and guidance to customers on-site.
• Working closely with Operations, Service Coordination and Project teams to deliver outstanding service.
• Maintaining accurate service records and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a field-based electrical engineering role
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience working independently on customer sites
• Familiarity with electrical test equipment and diagnostics
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Ability to manage workload effectively across multiple locations
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
• Experience within EV charging, renewable energy or power electronics sectors
• Experience commissioning and maintaining DC rapid and HPC chargers
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Knowledge of analogue and digital electronics
• EV charging manufacturer certifications or training
