Job summary

Yunex Traffic is seeking an Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (EVCI) Engineer to join the Northwest England field team. You will focus on commissioning, maintenance, and support of fast, rapid, and ultra-rapid EV chargers, delivering top-quality results in hands-on field work.

Based in the Northwest region, you will work with local depots and colleagues to keep charging networks safe, reliable and up to date, with some nationwide travel potential and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working on AC & DC chargers from multiple manufacturers (e.g., Alfen, Autel, Kempower, Rolec).
• Experience with low and medium voltage electrical systems.
• Proactive problem-solver who thrives in a team and eager to learn.
• Experience working with IT equipment.
• Safety-conscious, outdoors-friendly; holds a full driving licence and is near a depot.

Responsibilities

• Service, upgrade, and troubleshoot AC and DC EV chargers.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on public, domestic and commercial sites.
• Complete reactive works and fault finding on a range of chargers (training provided).
• Maintain safety at all times and support safety initiatives.
• Conduct electrical testing and inspections of charging equipment.
• Ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
• Communicate with contractors and customers on-site and digitally.
• Manage vehicle stock levels and report data to optimise performance.
• Support on-call out-of-hours rota and occasional overnight stays.
