Job summary

Yunex Traffic seeks an Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Engineer to join a field-based team, focusing on commissioning, maintenance and support of fast, rapid and ultra-rapid EV chargers. You will work across nationwide and local contracts delivering high-quality results.

The role requires hands-on field work, safety leadership and a proactive approach to learning, with opportunities for product training and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Experience with low and medium voltage electrical systems.
• Proactive problem-solver eager to learn and thrive in a team.
• Experience working with IT equipment.
• Safety-conscious, detail-oriented and comfortable outdoors.
• Full driving licence and proximity to a depot.
• Level 3 Electrical qualification (EAL, City & Guilds).
• ECS Gold Card and City & Guilds 2391-52 qualifications or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2921-31/32/33 qualifications or equivalent.
• Battery energy storage system experience.

Responsibilities

• Service, upgrade, and troubleshoot AC and DC EV chargers.
• Maintain safety at all times; report unsafe events and incidents.
• Conduct electrical testing and inspections of charging equipment and supplies.
• Ensure work is completed safely, to a high standard, and on schedule.
• Communicate effectively with contractors and customers on-site and digitally.
• Manage and report vehicle stock levels.
• Analyse data to optimise contract performance.
• Handle emergency repairs and participate in standby rota.
• Complete product training and seek accreditation (including overseas travel).
• Support other areas as required and assist engineers on traffic signals.
