Job summary

Yunex Traffic is seeking an Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Engineer to join a field-based team across the UK. You will focus on commissioning, maintenance and support of fast, rapid and ultra-rapid EV chargers in nationwide and local projects.

The role requires hands-on electrical work, strong safety focus, and the ability to travel as needed with a driving license. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent required.
• ECS Gold Card and City & Guilds 2391/2921 qualifications or equivalent.
• Full driving license and proximity to depots is essential.
• Experience with low/medium voltage electrical systems and IT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Service, upgrade and troubleshoot AC and DC EV chargers.
• Maintain safety and report unsafe events and incidents.
• Conduct electrical testing and periodic inspections of charging equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors and customers on-site and remotely.

The Role

As an Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Engineer, you'll join our dynamic, field-based team. Your role will focus on the commissioning, maintenance, and support of fast, rapid, and ultra-rapid EV chargers. Location:

We're hiring Engineers to cover Nationwide & Local contracts

Responsibilities:

• Service, upgrade, and troubleshoot AC and DC EV chargers.


• Maintain a strong focus on safety at all times; this includes reporting of unsafe events, conditions and incidents, and by supporting business & customer led safety initiatives.


• Conduct electrical testing and periodic inspections of charging equipmentand associated supplies.


• Ensure all work is completed safely, to a high standard, and on schedule.


• Communicate effectively with contractors and customers, both on-site and digitally.


• Manageand reportyour ownvehicleStock levels


• Analyseand process data to optimize contract performance.


• Handle emergency repairs andsupportout-of-hours workby being part of aregularstandby call out rota.


• Complete product training and achieve National Highways Sector Scheme accreditation.Customer specificproducttraining.This will includeoverseastravel.


• Supportand work inother areas when required (this may involve staying awayovernight fromtime to time)


• Assist from time-to-time engineers working of traffic signals& associated equipment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience working with low and medium voltageelectricalsystems.


• A proactive problem-solver who is eager to learn and thrives in a team environment.


• Experience work with IT equipment.


• Safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working outdoors.


• A full driving license and proximity to one of our depots.


• A Level 3 Electrical qualification (e.g., EAL, City & Guilds)


• ECS Gold Card and City & Guilds 2391- 52qualificationsorequivalent


• City & Guilds2921-31-32-33 qualificationsor equivalent


• Battery energy storage systemsexperience


• Experience is using ITequipment and software
