Job summary

PIE Recruitment is seeking a field-based EV battery diagnostics tester to cover the UK. You will travel to dealerships and remarketing sites across the country, four days a week, testing electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles with specialist equipment.

All travel and accommodation costs are covered. You will gain hands-on data collection that improves our battery diagnostics product, with a direct reporting line to the CTO.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Experience in a practical or field-based role (e.g., vehicle technician, inspector, appraiser, or field service engineer).
• Meticulous and reliable with diary management and ability to work with limited supervision.
• Comfort using laptops, smartphones and mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage your own schedule of site visits, four days per week on the road.
• Test EVs and PHEVs at customer sites, following procedures and recording vehicle data.
• Find and assess makes/models not yet supported, flagging issues.
• Represent the business professionally on site and relay customer feedback.
