Job summary

Cargo Refrigeration is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to manage a small fleet across the UK and EU, focusing on NL and BE markets. You will optimise movements for horticulture trolleys and consolidated shipments, organising the end-to-end process from collection to delivery.

The role requires 2+ years in transport planning, strong communication, and proficiency with freight management software and Microsoft tools. A customer-focused, proactive team player is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience of Transport planning.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and the capability to manage P&L.
• Ability to self-manage and prioritise workload.
• Team player with a positive attitude to all tasks and duties.
• Strong computer skills across the Microsoft portfolio and ability to use freight management software.

Responsibilities

• Working on fleet management, focusing on the day-to-day road freight process from start to finish for Imports and Exports.
• Communicating and building relationships with customers, drivers (domestic and European), and other agents.
• Managing all types of shipments, full loads, part load and groupage.
• Planning loads for major and minor routes, import and export, focusing on Benelux region.
• Liaising with clients and suppliers to ensure all required information and paperwork has been received and complete for the shipments.
• Overseeing and organising shipping routes with an understanding of both GVMS and inventory linked shipments.
• Knowledgeable on customs controls and checks with a focus on horticulture.
• Ensure accurate administrative records.

Transport Planner - Europe

The role

We are recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join our team to manage a small fleet across UK and EU. The main focus will be NL and BE markets where you will require to maximise efficiencies of movements for horticulture/cc trolleys and consolidated shipments. You will require knowledge of the European Freight industry and the skills to organise and manage the process from collection to shipping to delivery.
