Job summary

Weareedenbrook, a leading retail insurer, is seeking a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to drive planning, forecasting and performance across its European business. The role is senior leadership with responsibility for transforming FP&A and delivering driver-based, forward-looking insights to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Senior FP&A experience within insurance or data-led regulated consumer business.
• Proven budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning and executive reporting experience.
• Strong financial modelling, analytical and commercial skills.
• Ability to challenge senior stakeholders and translate analysis into insight.
• Experience across multiple markets or entities.
• Proven FP&A transformation and forecasting improvements.
• Experience partnering with actuarial, pricing and underwriting teams is advantageous.
• Strong leadership with development of FP&A teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting, rolling forecasting and long-term planning across Europe.
• Develop driver-based financial models and scenario analysis.
• Own monthly and quarterly performance reporting with insight into drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Actuarial, Pricing, Underwriting, Claims, Operations and Commercial functions.
• Translate complex data into clear recommendations and actions.
• Lead transformation of the European forecasting process over 12-18 months.
• Drive improvements to planning systems, MI, analytics, controls and reporting processes.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
