Job summary

APCO is seeking a recently qualified ACA/ACCA Financial Accountant for the Europe Finance team based in London. The role covers statutory reporting, tax, audit, treasury, and compliance across multiple European markets, collaborating with regional offices and external advisers.

You will contribute to finance transformation initiatives, drive process improvements, and support management with timely, high-quality financial reporting.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with 2–3 years post-qualification experience preferred.
• Audit background in professional services or multi-entity international environments is advantageous.
• Solid grounding in financial accounting, audit, internal controls and statutory reporting across jurisdictions.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial information and process flows.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and translate discussions into structured plans.
• Collaborative team player with strong stakeholder engagement across time zones.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft applications; ERP experience is desirable.
• Demonstrates energy and initiative to improve finance operations.

Responsibilities

• Support statutory reporting across the European region and coordinate with external advisers.
• Assist with tax, VAT and treasury activities; support liquidity forecasting and cash management.
• Support regional audit planning and delivery with timely information.
• Assist finance transformation projects and automation initiatives across Europe.
• Review processes and controls; promote continuous improvement and documentation.
• Engage with local offices, Corporate Finance and external advisers to ensure alignment and follow-through.
• Contribute to month-end close, forecasting and budgeting as required.
