Job summary

Sony Europe are seeking a Financial Accountant with proven expertise in statutory accounting and external reporting to join our European finance team in Weybridge. You will lead the preparation and submission of statutory accounts, tax packs, and returns for designated entities, ensuring full compliance with local legislation and group policies.

Qualifications

• Part Qualified/Qualified Accountant or significant reporting experience in a multi-company environment.
• Experience of tax compliance and reporting in a multinational corporate setting.
• Ability to simplify complex tax concepts and train team members.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent organisation with focus on deadlines.
• Willingness to receive study support to qualify.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and submission of statutory accounts, tax packs, and returns for designated entities.
• Be the expert for tax reporting and compliance across Sony Europe and related entities.
• Oversee external partners and all aspects of tax compliance, including transfer pricing and tax positions.
• Drive process and system improvements to enhance reporting efficiency.
• Coordinate external providers and support local tax audits with the Global Tax Office.
• Provide finance guidance to stakeholders and liaise with Group Reporting, Global Tax, and business teams.
