Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking an experienced Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Engineer focused on EU/UK information security and financial services regulation. You will architect systems that automate trust, balancing rigorous standards with high growth velocity, and partner with engineering to embed controls into the platform.

The role requires hands-on GRC engineering with DORA, EU AI Act, NIS2, and related obligations, plus risk assessment leadership and liaison with auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, cybersecurity, or STEM field.
• 8+ years of experience in GRC or regulated environments with EU/UK exposure.
• Hands-on experience implementing controls against DORA, EU AI Act, NIS2, PSD2/PSR, or UK PRA/FCA.
• Familiar with GDPR concepts (EU/UK).
• Experience with Compliance-as-Code and GRC automation tooling (Vanta).
• Technical fluency in cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) and security architecture.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve EU/UK financial services and digital resilience posture under DORA and related guidance.
• Build and maintain Compliance‑as‑Code capabilities integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Operate and extend GRC platforms (e.g., Vanta) and integrate with cloud, identity, logging, and engineering systems.
• Partner with Architects and Engineering Leads to bake regulatory requirements into design.
• Design, implement, and validate security controls for regulated EU/UK environments.
• Manage the information security risk register and track regulatory risk.
• Lead risk assessments and compliance reviews for new products, vendors, and changes.
• Collaborate with Data Privacy on security intersections.
• Liaise with external auditors and supervisory contacts.
