Job summary

Retail Human Resources plc is recruiting an experienced EU Payroll, Mobility & Immigration Specialist for a temporary basis in Central London. You will lead end-to-end payroll across several European countries, coordinating with HR, Finance and external providers to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role requires strong knowledge of European payroll legislation, expatriate payroll, and mobility programmes, with advanced Excel and Workday proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience managing payroll across multiple European countries.
• Retail/FMCG payroll experience in a high-volume environment (1,000+ employees preferred).
• Strong knowledge of European payroll legislation and expatriate requirements.
• Experience with global mobility programmes and immigration processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with HRIS/payroll systems such as Workday.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Highly organised, accurate and deadline-driven in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processes across multiple European countries.
• Partner with local HR, payroll providers and Finance stakeholders.
• Validate and approve payroll data throughout the cycle.
• Coordinate expatriate payroll activities with mobility partners and tax advisors.
• Oversee salary payments, taxes, social security and deductions.
• Produce monthly and quarterly payroll reporting.
• Investigate payroll queries and discrepancies.
• Support payroll audits, compliance and process improvements.
• Manage immigration administration for employees relocating into/out of EU markets.
