EU Overland / Road Freight Sales Executive

About the Role

As part of our growing Overland team, you'll take ownership of developing new business across our European road freight services. You'll build strong relationships with clients, understand their transport needs, and provide effective solutions using our full-service capabilities.

This role combines strategic business development with hands‑on customer engagement, making it ideal for someone who is proactive, confident, and commercially sharp.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across EU road freight markets.
  • Build and develop strong relationships with new, lapsed, and existing customers.
  • Conduct face-to-face and virtual meetings to understand customer needs and present solutions.
  • Promote a full range of overland services including groupage, part-load, and full-load offerings.
  • Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Collaborate closely with operations to ensure a smooth onboarding and customer experience.
  • Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activity, and pricing changes across European lanes.
  • Achieve agreed revenue, margin, and activity targets.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in European road freight / overland sales (groupage, LTL, FTL).
  • Proven track record of winning and developing business.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Confidence in building rapport with customers at all levels.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple opportunities.
  • CRM experience and good Microsoft Office skills.
  • Self‑motivated, ambitious, and target‑driven.
  • A team player with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Full driving licence (required for client visits).
