Job summary

A global trading firm in Greater London seeks a Surveillance Analyst to join their Compliance team. This role involves monitoring trade activities for market abuse, configuring alerts, and ensuring compliance with EU and UK regulations. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or STEM, at least three years of surveillance experience, and proficiency in SQL and Python. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in market abuse surveillance.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and analysing large datasets.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review automated trade surveillance alerts across various markets.
• Document investigation findings to maintain a robust audit trail.
• Escalate suspected breaches to senior compliance staff.

Skills

SQL for querying and analysing large datasets

Experience in market abuse surveillance

Working knowledge of Python

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Excellent English communication skills

Experience of using automation processes

Knowledge of prop-trading firms

Experience using electronic communication monitoring systems

Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics and/or STEM field
