Job summary

Bangor University seeks an enthusiastic lecturer to deliver the undergraduate EU Law module during Semester 2 of the 2026/27 academic year. The role focuses on teaching, assessment and student feedback within a supportive learning environment.

The appointment is 6 months, primarily on the Bangor campus, with optional hybrid/remote work within the UK. Welsh language ability is desirable, and the post begins Oct 2026.

Qualifications

• PhD in Law or related subject area (or near completion) or relevant professional experience.
• Experience of teaching in Higher Education or delivering legal training.
• Evidence of effective, inclusive and innovative teaching or training practice.
• Experience of assessment and providing constructive feedback to learners.
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality EU Law teaching to undergraduate students.
• Undertake assessment and provide timely, constructive feedback to students.
• Contribute to inclusive learning environments and student engagement.
• Manage module administration and participate in quality assurance processes.
• Support learning continuity during maternity leave and collaborate with colleagues.
