Job summary

Bangor University is inviting applications for a fixed-term, 0.6 FTE Environmental Education and Engagement Specialist in the School of Environmental and Natural Sciences. The role leads North Wales outreach, coordinating educational activities and resources with schools, teachers and partner organisations.

The post supports professional development for educators and requires an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, with experience in educational outreach and curriculum-aligned activities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional qualification/experience.
• Experience working with schools, teachers, educational programmes or outreach initiatives.
• Experience designing and delivering educational activities, resources or professional development for educators.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver environmental science education, engagement and outreach activities, mainly in North Wales.
• Support co-development and delivery of professional development opportunities and resources for teachers.
• Manage and monitor project resources, budgets and reporting to funders.
• Collaborate with partner institutions to deliver Wales-wide project activities.
