Job summary

Syngenta is seeking a Dietary Safety Assessor based at Jealott's Hill to ensure safety and regulatory compliance of crop protection products across Europe. You will join the Dietary Risk Assessment team to deliver timely safety inputs, support EU registrations, renewals and lifecycle activities, and collaborate with cross-functional experts.

The role requires a PhD/masters/BS in life sciences and at least 3 years in consumer safety, with strong writing skills and a good grasp of EU regulations

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc/PhD in toxicology, food science, chemistry, biology or related life science.
• Minimum 3 years in consumer/human safety assessment, preferably agrochemical/pharma/food safety.
• Strong writing and data interpretation for regulatory dossiers.

Responsibilities

• Undertake dietary risk assessment projects for the Europe team, delivering timely safety inputs that drive European and global business objectives.
• Prepare and critically review dietary safety sections of regulatory dossiers for EU plant protection product registrations, renewals, and lifecycle management.
• Contribute to innovative solutions and strategies to address cross-functional challenges and regulatory positions.
• Communicate scientific outcomes and regulatory positions to internal stakeholders and regulatory meetings.
• Stay at the forefront of EU regulations and EFSA guidance; engage with EU authorities.
