Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection in the UK seeks a Technical Expert - Ecotoxicologist to join our Global Science Delivery team at Jealott's Hill. You will design and deliver ecotoxicology studies, provide data-driven insights, and support registration of crop protection products.

You will drive study design, data interpretation and expert conclusions for global projects. You will collaborate with CROs and cross-functional teams, applying GLP standards and current regulatory guidance to deliver timely

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc in Biology, Ecotoxicology, Environmental Toxicology, or a closely related field.
• Experience conducting ecotoxicology studies under GLP environment.
• Good knowledge of global ecotoxicology data requirements for Plant Protection Products.
• Experience of generating key insights from data sets.
• Ability to work collaboratively with strong organisation and time management.
• Capability of applying analytical thinking to solve problems with attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and apply new skills promptly.
• Experience with Biological plant protection products including qPCR and microbiology methods is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the timely delivery of business-critical data generated at CROs to support development and registration of new active ingredients and existing products globally.
• Being responsible for protocol design, evaluation of data and reviewing/authorising company reports.
• Elucidating insights from ecotoxicology data and reporting expert conclusions to technical teams.
• Independently providing technical assistance and innovative solutions to facilitate transfer of technical knowledge.
• Utilising your expert knowledge and understanding of ecotoxicology as well as relevant global regulatory guidance documents and their implication to our study designs.
