Job summary

SMC Corporation (UK) Ltd. invites applications for a European Technical Centre – Compliance / Regulatory Engineer in Milton Keynes.

You will monitor EU directives, regulations and Official Journal updates to ensure product compliance across Europe. You will collaborate with engineers, subsidiaries and SMC Japan, maintain complete, up-to-date documentation, respond to technical queries, and may train as an internal auditor in ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication required.
• Experience writing technical reports.
• Willingness to travel to Europe occasionally.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor EU Directives and regulations and EU Official Journal; ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with Engineers across groups, subsidiaries and SMC Japan; maintain legally sound documentation.
• Respond to technical queries from customers.
