Job summary

89up, a global agency for non-profits, is seeking an experienced Account Director to lead EU-focused campaigns from strategy to delivery.

You’ll work across policy processes with the EU and EU Member States, guiding clients on speaking to policymakers and crafting influential media stories in multiple languages. The role combines advocacy, communications, and senior advisory responsibilities within a fast-growth, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to influence EU policy processes.
• Strong stakeholder management across public and political sectors.
• Demonstrated success in securing media coverage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated EU campaigns influencing policy.
• Monitor KPIs, budgets, timelines and team capacity.
• Build relationships with senior officials at EC, EP representations, and Member States.
• Develop and pitch media stories in Brussels and national outlets.
• Lead strategy projects, polls, and stakeholder interviews and translate insights into strategy.
• Oversee and mentor junior team members and grow client accounts.
