Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited is recruiting an Estimator / Order Processor – Fenestration for an office-based role in Kent. You will handle a bespoke range of commercial and residential fenestration projects, producing BOQs from drawings, and returning quotations to meet client deadlines.

You will liaise with customers, contractors and suppliers, review tender inquiries, and manage projects up to £600k, using strong numerical, analytical and Excel-driven cost planning.

Qualifications

• Must have experience as an Estimator or Order Processor working within the fenestration sector, open to windows, doors, glass, glazing, roof lights or closely related.
• IT literate, particularly Excel.
• Strong technical understanding of drawings and client specifications.
• Ability to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate cost plans.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce BOQs from drawings to enable timely quotations.
• Liaise with customers, contractors and suppliers, resolving technical queries and confirming pricing, specs, lead times and manufacturing requirements.
• Review tender enquiries to determine scope of works and project deadlines.
• Work on projects where each product/system is unique and requires a bespoke approach.
• Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database.
• Contact customers dealing with queries and providing additional technical information.
• Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers.
• Manage projects up to value of £600k.

The role of the Estimator / Order Processor – Fenestration will involve:

• Office based Estimator / Order Processor position dealing with a bespoke range of commercial & residential fenestration projects, covering windows, doors, roof lights and glazing systems
• Liaise with customers, contractors and suppliers, resolving technical queries and confirming pricing, specifications, lead times and manufacturing requirements
• Review tender enquiries to determine scope of works and project deadlines
• Working on projects where each product/system is unique and therefore requires a bespoke approach
• Taking details from drawings to produce BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines
• Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
• Contact customers dealing with queries and providing additional technical information
• Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers
• Managing large projects up-to a value of £600k
