Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited in Kent is seeking an experienced Estimator/Order Processor Fenestration to manage bespoke commercial and residential projects. You will take drawings, produce BOQs and coordinate with customers, contractors and suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times and manufacturing requirements.

This office-based role covers windows, doors, roof lights and glazing systems with project values up to £600k.

Qualifications

• Experience as Estimator or Order Processor in fenestration (windows, doors, glazing).
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret drawings and client specifications.
• IT literate with good Excel skills.
• Commercial awareness and cost-planning ability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans from drawings to produce BOQs for quotes.
• Liaise with customers, contractors and suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times and manufacturing requirements.
• Review tender enquiries to determine scope and deadlines.
• Maintain documentation of tenders and quotations in internal database.
• Manage projects up to values of £600k.
• Provide technical information to customers and resolve queries.

The role of the Estimator / Order Processor Fenestration will involve:

• Office based Estimator / Order Processor position dealing with a bespoke range of commercial & residential fenestration projects, covering windows, doors, roof lights and glazing systems
• Liaise with customers, contractors and suppliers, resolving technical queries and confirming pricing, specifications, lead times and manufacturing requirements
• Review tender enquiries to determine scope of works and project deadlines
• Working on projects where each product/system is unique and therefore requires a bespoke approach
• Taking details from drawings to produce BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines
• Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
• Contact customers dealing with queries and providing additional technical information
• Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers
• Managing large projects up-to a value of £600k

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator / Order Processor Fenestration with:

• Must have experience as an Estimator or Order Processor working within the fenestration sector, open to windows, doors, glass, glazing, roof lights or closely related
• IT Literate particularly excel
• Strong technical understanding of drawings and client specifications
• Ability to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate cost plans.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
