Job summary

A leading flooring subcontractor in Bedford seeks a Trainee Estimator or Estimator to join the commercial team. This full-time, office-based role includes regular site visits and training with hybrid working after the initial period.

You will review drawings, perform quantity take-offs, prepare estimates and tenders, and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors. Ideal for those wanting progression in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs including Maths; driving license preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tenders.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates.
• Price bills of quantities and prepare lump-sum tenders.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors; handle enquiries.
• Support procurement and tender submissions; assist with contract admin.
