Job summary

Bimplus, a respected contractor specialising in roofing, cladding and façades, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its commercial team. The role covers delivering accurate tenders for a wide range of building envelope packages, from residential schemes to multi-million-pound UK projects.

Reporting to the estimating leadership team, you will undertake take-offs, price labour and materials, obtain supplier quotes, and identify value engineering opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in roofing, cladding or facade estimation.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience producing competitive tenders.
• Strong Excel and computer skills; Bluebeam knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate tender estimates from enquiry to submission.
• Review drawings, specs, and scope documentation.
• Take-offs using estimating software.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Evaluate labour, material, and programme costs.
• Identify value engineering opportunities.
• Attend pre-contract meetings and client negotiations.
• Maintain bid records and support project handovers.
